Lewis Silkin advises Publicis Groupe on the acquisition of translate plus
04 August 2017
Lewis Silkin has advised Publicis Communications’ cross-media production platform, Prodigious, on its acquisition of global Top 50 language service provider, translate plus.
translate plus has a diversified client base across multiple sectors; clients include Mondelez, Porsche Consulting, Reckitt Benckiser, Rentalcars, RICOH and prior to the acquisition, Prodigious themselves. The deal strengthens Pubicis Groupe’s ability to compete with WPP’s translation and transcreation unit, Hogarth, and will allow translate plus to gain access to a much larger global infrastructure.
Lewis Silkin has advised Publicis Groupe, now the third largest communications group worldwide with 80,000 staff in over 100 countries, on its mergers & acquisitions activity in the UK since 2005 and continues to be the go to firm for other holdings companies alike.
The Lewis Silkin multi-disciplinary deal team was led by Head of Corporate, Paul Rajput, supported by corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham, corporate senior associate Barnaby Stokes, corporate associate Georgina Fraser and employment senior associate Katie Johnston.
Paul said:
"We are delighted to once again advise our valued and longstanding client Publicis Groupe as they continue to strengthen their positioning in the market. This deal demonstrates that Lewis Silkin continues to be market-leaders in mid-market M&A for the marketing communications sector"
