Artwork at Arbor: Storyboard by Barry Flanagan
Welsh artist Barry Flanagan (1941 - 2009) is best known for his elegant bronze sculptures of long-limbed hares in all states of motion and rest. Born on January 11, 1941, in Prestatyn, Wales, he studied architecture at Birmingham College of Art and Crafts, and sculpture at Saint Martin's School of Art in London.
‘Storyboard’ is an unusual and rare etching from the artist and was likely included in the 1984 ‘Barry Flanagan Etchings and Linocuts’ at Waddington Galleries, London.
His works are in collections all over the world including The Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Gallery in London.
