It was said that the legal profession would benefit from the prospect of professionals from different disciplines having the opportunity of working together in one business. Furthermore, it was hoped that this all encompassing structure would offer better value for the consumer.
However, there are less single business structures combining both accountancy and legal expertise than expected. Clive discusses the impact of legal privilege as a causal effect of this.
