Following his election in May 2017, Emanuel Macron has introduced sweeping reforms to the French labour code, in a bid to give greater flexibility to business and tackle widespread unemployment. These reforms look set to continue.
On 9 November 2017 Pascal Lagoutte, Managing Partner and co-founder of Capstan Advocats (Ius Laboris’s French member firm), will be talking us through these changes; including the decentralisation of collective bargaining, the introduction of caps on damages, and greater flexibility on redundancy, as well as discussing how these changes might practically impact multinational businesses operating in France.
