I manage the Hong Kong office and head up its employment practice.

I joined Lewis Silkin in 2007 and haven’t looked back since.  After 10 years in the London office, I made the move to Hong Kong to head up the employment practice and then also took on the role of managing the office.  I am dual-qualified in England & Wales and Hong Kong, listed as a recognised practitioner for Hong Kong employment law in Chambers and recommended in Who’s Who Legal, with the Hong Kong employment team also being rated in Legal 500.

I have extensive experience of advising multinational employers in the Asia Pacific region on international employment law matters and act for a mixture of FTSE 100 companies, household-name brands, gig economy clients and start-ups.  My clients span various sectors including technology, financial and professional services, retail and advertising. 

I advise on the full range of employment issues in Hong Kong, including complicated terminations, negotiated separation agreements, restrictive covenant disputes and litigation, defending claims in the labour tribunal and courts, discrimination issues, grievances and disciplinaries, performance issues, sickness absence, redundancies and restructuring, and data privacy.  

I also undertake a broad range of cross-jurisdictional work in Asia Pacific, such as implementing partnership programmes, coordinating global employee handbook reviews and the drafting of template employment documents, overseeing litigation, coordinating multi-country data privacy projects and cross-border restructuring, carrying out disciplinary and grievance investigations, and advising on senior ex-pat relocation packages.

Having worked in-house at a number of client companies in the financial services, technology and retail sector whilst on secondment, I have a solid understanding of what a client is looking for in external counsel and make it a focus to provide practical, no-nonsense advice in a personable and timely manner and to ensure costs are managed effectively throughout a piece of work.

I frequently deliver bespoke training to clients in the region on topics such as diversity and inclusion, sexual harassment, employment status and data privacy, and regularly draft articles and provide quotes on employment law topics for local media. I also regularly speak at and chair conferences in Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK on a wide range of employment law topics.

我擁有豐富的工作經驗,為亞太區的跨國企業僱主提供國際僱傭法律的建議,並擔任多間富時100指數企業、知名品牌、零工經濟客戶和初創企業的代表律師。我的客戶遍佈不同行業,包括科技、金融和專業服務、零售和廣告。

我就香港的各類型僱傭問題提供意見,包括複雜的解僱情況、經協商的解僱協議、限制性條款糾紛及訴訟、就勞資審裁處及法庭的申索辯護、歧視個案、申訴及紀律行動、表現問題、因病缺勤、裁員和重組,以及數據私隱。

我於亞太區涉獵的僱傭相關工作亦廣泛淵博,例如實行夥伴合作計劃、協調審核全球員工手冊、草擬僱傭文件範本、監督訴訟、協調多國數據私隱項目及跨境重組、進行紀律和申訴調查,以及提供資深外籍員工調遷待遇建議。

派駐到金融服務、科技和零售行業客戶的公司工作期間,讓我深入了解到客戶對外部顧問的要求,把重點放在有禮及時地向客戶提出合理可行建議,確保能有效管理整項工作的成本。

我經常為區內的客戶提供定制培訓,主題涉及多元化和包容性、性騷擾、僱傭狀況和數據私隱等,並定期撰寫文章,為當地媒體提供有關就業法的內容。我亦定期在香港、新加坡和英國進行演講和主持會議,當中包括廣泛的僱傭法律主題。

我分別在英格蘭和威爾斯以及香港獲得認可資格。
