I am an established senior Human Resources professional with a broad commercial background and extensive experience of leading and facilitating organisational and cultural change in a diverse range of business types and sectors.

I am passionate about improving performance through people and implementing this with a healthy balance of creativity and common sense. 

My early career took an unusual trajectory when, after qualifying as a veterinary surgeon and spending a few years working in practice, I moved into a commercial setting – undertaking management roles in sales, sector management and operations before moving into HR. 

I now combine this broader business understanding with a strategic perspective to support business growth and evolving operating models - helping clients deliver sustainable change, improved commercial performance and the creation of a healthy work environment in both board advisory and HR capacities.

Organisation Development

  • Designing and delivering strategic initiatives to support development of new organisational capabilities and improved business performance
  • Developing compelling Employee Value Propositions and Employer Brands
  • Undertaking cultural and organisational reviews with thoroughness and sensitivity

Change and Transformation

  • Implementing significant organisational change and transformation including restructures, mergers and acquisitions (TUPE), and new business models. Successful delivery in both unionised and non-unionised environments
  • Facilitating groups and coaching individuals, particularly those responsible for leading others through times of change

Business Partnering and Advice

  • Resolving complex/senior level employee relations issues with sensitivity and pragmatism
  • Enabling and challenging Boards and Executive Leadership teams in HR, board advisory, trustee and non-executive director roles
  • Operating effectively in large corporate environments as well as SMEs, start-ups and not-for-profit entities

Human Resources Leadership

  • Providing generalist HR support and service delivery across the full employee lifecycle
  • Leading and developing HR functions and personnel - particularly towards greater business partnering and proactivity
  • Managing business operations and developing and delivering business strategies as member of Executive Leadership teams
