I joined the Lewissilkinhouse team as a Senior Lawyer in May 2021 and have been fortunate to work in a range of sectors in-house, including pharmaceutical; information technology, fintech and a public broadcaster.
I have specialised in employment law for over 20 years, advising clients from within the private and public sector across the full suite of employment law issues. I began my career in private practice, in a regional top-rated employment team, before moving in-house as the Principal Employment Solicitor for a large police force, where I had responsibility for all employment law matters across the organisation. More recently, I have worked as a freelance consultant, supporting corporate clients on both day-to-day employment advice and specific project work.
I have extensive experience of both contentious and non-contentious matters across the full range of the employment relationship, including supporting clients with international restructuring projects (including TUPE); discrimination matters; employment contracts; employment status; equal pay; complex disciplinary and performance management cases; conflict resolution and grievance issues; policy-making; employee exits and managing complex tribunal claims, including judicial mediation.
My focus is on building collaborative relationships with senior managers and stakeholders to provide practical and commercial solutions.
