We are pleased to announce our spring/summer series of online updates. This programme is aimed mainly at HR managers and those with equivalent experience of dealing with workplace employment issues – but we’d be delighted to welcome you whatever your background or grounding in employment law.

A safe return to work during the Covid-19 pandemic requires employers to have knowledge about the health of both employees and visitors to the workplace. But health information is confidential and can only be processed under data protection laws in specific circumstances. What steps can employers take to monitor health in the workplace, including information about symptoms, diagnosis and immunity? In what circumstances can employers carry out testing, and what are the legal risks? And how, if at all, can employers use contact tracing apps? This session will look at how to balance health and safety obligations with privacy rights.
