Our topical review of developments will examine recent and forthcoming changes in employment law.
Family and parental rights continue to be a complex and sensitive area for HR professionals. This update will look at recent developments in order to help you minimise the risk of grievances or legal claims.
A new right to parental bereavement leave is due to take effect in 2020, and we’re still awaiting news as to whether proposals for grandparental leave will be taken forward. We will consider the latest position on shared parental leave, including whether it is potentially sex discrimination to pay less for this type of leave than for maternity leave. The session will also cover recent cases on maternity leave and rights, including any developments in relation to discrimination, and the related topic of flexible working on return from leave.
Our practical take on what’s happening means this event is always popular - be sure to book early to secure your place.
