Embracing social mobility

  • 22 October 2024
  • Breakfast: from 8:45am Session: 9:30 - 11:00am
  • Arbor, 255 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 9AX

Amid growing social mobility challenges in the UK and other countries, it is increasingly clear that major employers will need to up their game when it comes to attracting and promoting talent from all socio-economic backgrounds.

By coming together and sharing, learning and embracing the challenges in creating a socially mobile workforce, we may simultaneously improve our progression toward our other stated diversity targets.

At this event, you will learn how to embed social mobility strategies into your organisation, hear success stories and challenges from those who’ve transformed workplace social diversity, connect with like-minded professionals committed to making a difference and leave with some actionable strategies to boost social mobility in your workplace.

We are delighted to be joined by Lee Elliot-Major, Britain’s first Professor of Social Mobility, currently based at the University of Exeter. Lee was previously Chief Executive of the Sutton Trust and he now works closely with school leaders, universities, global employers and Governments to develop practical ways of improving educational and life prospects.

If you think a colleague would be better suited to attend or if you have any queries, please contact our events team. Please note, there are limited spaces which will be given on a first come, first served basis.
