Lewis Silkin speaking at Law Society Brexit seminar
27 February 2017
Karen Baxter, head of Lewis Silkin’s Professional Services sector group, will be speaking at The Law Society’s event on the implications of Brexit for in-house lawyers on 28 March in relation to employment law.
The event, a panel discussion and Q&A, is supported by The Lawyer’s GC350 community for General Counsel from across the FTSE350. Lawyers on the panel, both in-house and private practice, will consider the international impact of Brexit for in-house teams, as well as on the wider sector, including the effects on commercial contracts and financing documents, jurisdiction and enforcement of judgments and legal privilege. There will be a focus on the impact on privacy and data protection, intellectual property, public procurement and an update from the Law Society policy team on its Brexit activities.
