The Lewis Silkin Hong Kong team are delighted to invite you to our first HR Breakfast Club session of 2019 where we will be discussing some of the key employment and immigration law developments over the past year.
In this “round-up of 2018” session, we will be taking you through the key cases and legislative developments which employers should be aware of for the coming year. From the Hong Kong Immigration Department’s policy changes, to extensions to paternity (and possibly maternity) leave, the Labour Tribunal being empowered to make orders for compulsory reinstatement or reengagement, and proposed revisions to discrimination laws, we will be exploring all of these key developments in Hong Kong and will discuss what these developments mean for employers on a practical level.
Our focus will be on Hong Kong but we will also touch upon significant developments in other APAC jurisdictions, such as China, Australia and Singapore. In addition to providing a round-up of the key cases and other developments of 2018, we will be looking at what is on the horizon for 2019.
Please join us for this round-up session which is designed to bring HR professionals and in-house counsel up-to-date with the most recent developments in employment and immigration law in Hong Kong and beyond.
