Dans cette session, nous discuterons du régime applicable aux contrats de consommation sous l’empire de la Directive n°2011/83 relative aux droits des consommateurs qui harmonise les règlementations en matière de contrats de vente et de service à distance. Cette Directive, entrée en vigueur le 13 juin 2014, a été transposée par la France et le Royaume-Uni (Loi « Hamon » de 2014 et (« the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 »

Consumer contracts in France and in the UK in 2017: European harmonisation and changes

In this session, we will discuss the regime applicable to consumer contracts under Directive No. 2011/83 on Consumer Rights, which harmonises the regulations governing sales contract and distance selling contracts. This Directive, which entered into force on 13 June 2014, was transposed into local laws by France and the United Kingdom (The « Hamon » Law of 2014 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
