Lewis Silkin's rockhopper service nominated for FT Innovative Lawyer Award

Leading employment specialist Lewis Silkin LLP has been shortlisted for this year’s FT Innovative Lawyers award for its low cost fixed fee HR and employment law service rockhopper (www.rockhopperhr.com).

Now in its 11th year, the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards has grown to celebrate legal innovation in more than 50 different countries across both private practice and in-house legal teams. The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 5th October.

Launched 18 months ago, rockhopper provides fixed cost employment law support to organisations through a team of experienced, qualified and specialist employment solicitors, who give practical and commercial advice.  The lawyers work flexibly from home using technology to support them. rockhopper provides alternative career tracks for Lewis Silkin lawyers as their personal, geographic and family circumstances change, undertaking work which is both challenging and important to the business with the option to move back into the core team when it suits their personal and family circumstances. 

This has particularly helped Lewis Silkin with retention rates of lawyers with children and has allowed has allowed greater geographic flexibility for lawyers wanting to live more than commuting distance from the firm’s offices. The cost savings from the reduced overheads are passed directly to clients, providing them with excellent value high quality employment law support.
