Superagency in the workplace: Empowering people to unlock AI’s full potential

This McKinsey report finds that while almost all companies invest in AI, just 1% believe they are at maturity and that the biggest barrier to scaling is not employees – who are ready – but leaders, who are not steering fast enough. The research shows employees are already using AI on a regular basis; are three times more likely than leaders realise to believe that AI will replace 30% of their work in the next year; and are eager to gain AI skills. It underscores the importance that leaders make the most of their employees’ readiness to increase the pace of AI implementation while ensuring trust, safety, and transparency.
