The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs report examines how technological change, geoeconomic fragmentation, economic uncertainty, demographic shifts and the green transition impact jobs and skills, projecting these trends will generate 170 million new jobs by 2030, while displacing 92 million others. The skills gap continues to be the most significant barrier to business transformation today, with nearly 40% of skills required on the job set to change and 63% of employers already citing it as a key challenge. The report outlines the workforce transformation strategies employers plan to adopt in response across the 2025 and 2030 timeframe.
