Diversity statistics

In order to contribute to our inclusive culture and encourage colleagues to participate in DE&I activities, we have a twin strategy of setting targets and encouraging personal responsibility (through the setting of an annual personal DE&I objective for everyone in the firm).

We collect diversity data from our people so that we can show progress towards our goals, and bring colleagues into a conversation about DE&I. We only ever report aggregated diversity data; individuals’ data is never examined or reported.

The statistics below (including law firm industry averages from the Solicitors Regulation Authority) were correct as at 31 March 2022.

Targets

Our Law Society Women in Law Pledge targets include a reaching a minimum of 45% female partners by 2027, gender balance in leadership and other fee earning roles and reducing our gender pay gap by no less than 40% from its 2019 levels by 2027. Progress on these targets is reported in our gender pay gap reports.
