Investigations
Proud member of Ius Laboris
It takes discipline and tenacity to investigate thoroughly under intense scrutiny.
Our Investigations team have conducted more than 250 investigations over the last 10 years, both in the UK and internationally, always carefully identifying and managing the risks, meticulously uncovering and analysing the facts, and making sure that all parties are treated fairly.
We offer more than a typical law firm
Culture reviews
Our culture reviews enable you to look under the bonnet of your organisation so that you can understand what your staff are concerned about. A culture review enables you to get ahead of a problem and to address issues before they result in formal grievance processes or resignations.
You can use culture reviews to:
- Understand anomalies – for example, if you have a team which fails to meet diversity targets, has high attrition rates, or low engagement scores. We can identify the causes and provide recommendations for addressing any underlying issues.
- Address reputational risks, such as rumours of a toxic work environment.
- Assess integration following significant changes, such as mergers or restructures.
Each culture review is conducted by one of our multi-disciplinary investigation teams, which include employment lawyers, data analysts and HR specialists, aided by AI analysis.
Each review is tailored to your particular circumstances. Generally, though, our team will gather information from a variety of sources and carry out a desktop analysis. They will conduct a staff survey and meet with small employee focus groups. They will then provide an objective and impartial assessment of any thematic issues which are damaging your workplace culture and the perceptions of it.
We can also recommend measures to address those issues, and work with you to implement them to prevent problems from arising in the future.
Data privacy audits
Your business might have the right level of technical compliance, but you could still be lacking operative compliance. This can leave you exposed to regulatory and individual claims.
In most cases, the first step to mitigate these risks will be a data protection audit. This will help you to understand your current data processing practices and to identify the changes you need to make to ensure that you comply with current and future legislation.
Our GDPR Health Assessment is a cost-effective way to check your GDPR and security compliance without having to go through a full-scale audit process. We ask the questions needed to gain an understanding of your business and provide you with a compliance score, as well as a strategy to help achieve a better level of compliance.
We’ll provide:
- An initial health assessment
- Verification or stress testing
- Remediation actions
- An optional security assessment
