15 August 2018
On Saturday 22 September, Lewis Silkin will be participating in their big annual fundraising challenge in aid of the firms chosen charity, Alzheimer's Research UK.
This year Lewis Silkin will be conquering Pen y Fan – the highest peak in south Wales – in an endurance challenge known in the military as “The Fan Dance”. The challenge involves trekking a mountain route at pace over the summit of Pen y Fan in Brecon Beacons National Park. The route has a total distance of 24km with a total ascent of 1360m, all in aid of Alzheimers Research UK!
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure. Backed by passionate scientists and supporters, they are challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers in the field and funding the innovative science that will deliver a cure.
The date of the challenge coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day on Friday 21 September and we are looking to raise at least £12,000 for this worthy cause. Donations can be made on the event’s dedicated JustGiving page.
