Lewis Silkin secures sale of leading digital consultancy Sparkler to PA
31 May 2018
Leading law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has advised Sparkler, a leading digital insight and strategy consultancy, on its acquisition by PA Consulting Group.
Lewis Silkin acted for the founding partners of Sparkler, John Robson and Magnus Willis, on the sale of the company to PA Consulting Group, an innovation and transformation consultancy centred around technology strategies. As an award-winning agency with expertise in digital consumer behaviour, the acquisition of Sparkler will further enhance PA’s client offering.
The founders of Sparkler were advised by corporate partner Jo Evans and tax, rewards and incentives partner Matthew Rowbotham, with the support of managing associate Alison Clements and associate Georgina Fraser.
Jo Evans, partner at Lewis Silkin, commented:
“The acquisition of Sparkler by PA Consulting Group marks a deal between two leading consultancies and we’re delighted to have been involved. Lewis Silkin are ideally placed to advise on deals of this nature thanks to our strong corporate practice and our market-leading work in the advertising, marketing and technology sectors.”
Sparkler founding partners, John Robson and Magnus Willis, said:
“Lewis Silkin were great. For first-time sellers like us, the process could have seemed daunting and complex, but at every turn LS were wise, patient, meticulous and good-humoured. If it’s not too much of a cliché, we ultimately saw them as much more than legal experts but partners too, giving us crucial (not to mention, wide-ranging!) advice as we made our way towards the sale. We couldn’t have hoped for more!”
