The Brooklyn Brothers has 130 staff and offices in the UK, the US and Brazil, as well as a joint venture with scriptwriters in Hollywood. The acquisition will provide greater scale for both agencies in the US whilst also expanding in Asia.
The deal will see The Brooklyn Brothers continue to operate under its own name and global founding partners Guy Barnett, George Bryant, Paul Parton and Jackie Stevenson will remain at the agency.
The cross-departmental Lewis Silkin deal team was led by corporate partner Karish Andrews supported by corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham and Barnaby Stokes along with Richard Moore, an associate in our Employment, Reward & Immigration team.
Karish said:
“We are delighted to have been part of this exciting transaction. The Brooklyn Brothers is a fantastic agency and it was a pleasure working with Paul, Jackie, Guy and George to bring the deal to a successful conclusion.
This is exactly the sort of deal that enhances the firm’s reputation as a leading M&A adviser to the creative industries”.
Jackie Stevenson, a global founding partner of The Brooklyn Brothers said:
“Lewis Silkin are just the kind of partners you want when working through this kind of process; smart, responsive, and hugely supportive. They were a vital extension of our team”.
