Kathryn Weaver speaking at LAWASIA Conference
17 September 2019
Head of Lewis Silkin’s Hong Kong office Kathryn Weaver is speaking on panel discussion on sexual harassment and equality and diversity
Now in its 32nd year, the LAWASIA Conference is the flagship annual event held by The Law Association for Asia and the Pacific bringing together people from across the legal industry in Asia Pacific.
This year the conference is being held in Hong Kong in association with The Law Society of Hong Kong. Employment partner Kathryn Weaver will be taking part in the employment law panel discussion which focuses on the impact of the #MeToo movement both in relation to the prevalence of sexual harassment but also the concerns raised around gender equality.
Along with lawyers from Australia, China, India and Thailand, Kathryn will discuss how the law in different jurisdictions handles issues relating to sexual harassment, equality and diversity in the workplace; what employers can do to protect themselves from being caught in claims arising from these issues; what employers should do if they encountered these issues; and the way forward to taking positive steps to ensure a safe and diverse workplace.
You can register for the session on LAWASIA’s website.
