Catherine Leung named as Head of Employment in Hong Kong
04 January 2023
Lewis Silkin has today announced Catherine Leung as Head of Employment for the firm’s Hong Kong office, further strengthening its market-leading employment practice.
Catherine joined Lewis Silkin as a partner in 2019 when the firm expanded its offering in the region to include local employment law and complementary HR services. Catherine has played a key role in the growth of the firm’s presence in Hong Kong and works with clients across the financial services, luxury retail and technology sectors. She specialises in complex employment and wider workplace matters including team moves, discrimination and harassment cases, and data privacy.
Richard Miskella, Joint Managing Partner at Lewis Silkin, said:
“We are delighted that Catherine has agreed to take on the role of Head of Employment for our office in Hong Kong. Having already shared some of the team management responsibilities over the last couple of years, she is very well placed to step into this new position. I’m sure she will thrive in it, and continue to unlock new possibilities for our clients, including through our role as the official Hong Kong representative of Ius Laboris, the world’s leading employment law network.”
Catherine works alongside Jezamine Fewins - partner and Head of Litigation for Hong Kong – who focuses on both employment and intellectual property matters.
