About

I am an Associate in the Digital, Commerce and Creative team, specialising in intellectual property and commercial law, with a focus on brands and businesses in the creative, media and tech sectors. I trained with Lewis Silkin and also gained experience across IP disputes and data privacy.

I started my career in the advertising industry, working as a media planner at a media agency for two years. I later worked as a paralegal at a telecoms company, advising on matters primarily related to advertising & marketing. Having worked for both an agency and brand owner, I understand the sector and draw upon my industry experience when advising clients.

I am a member of our advertising & marketing, media & entertainment and regulatory advice sector groups.

Experience

Intellectual property

  • Advising on the protection and exploitation of brands and innovation
  • Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial IP agreements relating to the use and exploitation of intellectual property rights and content, including client / agency, talent, sponsorship, brand partnership, collaboration and licensing agreements

Advertising & marketing

  • Providing advice on the legal and regulatory issues that may arise from advertising campaigns, including advertising regulation, intellectual property and consumer law
  • Specialising in the regulation of environmental ("green") claims in consumer-facing communications
  • Dealing with Clearcast and the RACC on advertising clearance and with the Advertising Standards Authority regarding advertising complaints

Commercial & technology

  • Advising on, negotiating and drafting a range of commercial contracts including confidentiality, SaaS and other software services, media buying and creative services agreements
