About

I am a Senior Practice Development Lawyer in the Digital, Commerce & Creative team at Lewis Silkin, specialising in technology and media law. I support both clients and fee-earning lawyers within the team by researching, analysing, and providing updates relating to key legal and industry developments.

I have a broad range of experience across the technology and media sectors, having advised clients on matters relating to the licensing of intellectual property, broadcasting and distribution, brand protection, technology outsourcing, as well as general commercial contracts.

Experience

Technology

  • Working with clients across the technology sector on a variety of outsourcing, development, and licensing transactions
  • Supporting clients and fee-earners by analysing relevant new legislation and developments within the industry, as well as opining on the drafting and interpretation of contractual clauses in IT (and general commercial) contracts

Media

  • Working in the media sector means working across a number of diverse and fascinating industries - from TV and film, to music, publishing, sport, and live events so I ensure clients and fee-earners across these industries remain updated with the latest developments and provide advice on everything from broadcast regulation to the nuances of licensing highly valuable IP

Commercial contracts

  • Drafting, interpreting, and analysing commercial contracts. While I no longer negotiate client contracts directly, I work with fee-earners within my team to ensure that they have the knowledge (particularly of things like new case law developments) and skills to perfect their own drafting
