I work to ensure that the lawyers in our Intellectual Property team keep right up to date with the latest legal and industry developments. Having qualified with a City law firm back in 1991, I then worked in the publishing sector for 16 years before returning to private practice with Lewis Silkin in 2008. I support our IP lawyers and their clients with research, know how and current awareness, and I have a particular interest in matters relating to copyright law.
About
Experience
Knowledge management
- I collate documents relating to the key IP case-law, legislative and practice developments each month and share them with the team in an indexed 'bundle'
- We discuss and analyse the most important developments at a monthly IP knowhow meeting which I chair, drawing upon the experience of the full team
- Learnings and alerts from the IP knowhow bundles and meetings are shared with clients in the team's advice and via the blogs, articles and newsletters that we publish
- I contribute items on the latest IP developments to our monthly Ads & Brands Law Digest, which is designed for in-house lawyers
