About

As a rockhopper lawyer, I am on call by telephone and email, to advise employers from a variety of sectors on whatever HR or employee relations issues they need assistance with.

I deal with queries on all topics, including grievances, disciplinaries, sickness absence, family friendly provisions, performance management and TUPE. I also assist our clients in defending Employment Tribunal claims and dealing with data subject access requests, contract and handbook reviews.

With over 12 years of experience, I have joined rockhopper from a global AM Law 100 firm, where I acted as principal employment adviser for several multinational clients across a range of sectors, from engineering and manufacturing to financial and legal services, software and technology, and media and hospitality.

As well as providing the full complement of day-to-day employment advice, I have substantial experience in defending and advising at all stages of Employment Tribunal claims, as well as managing international employee projects.

  • Providing UK employment support to on the TUPE and redundancy issues involved in a client's cross border, internal re-organisation
  • Providing advice and assistance on the advantages or otherwise of engaging either employees, or self-employed contractors, across Europe, through its UK entity
  • Advising on the employment implications of creating a UK subsidiary
  • Advising on the UK employment law issues associated with a client's exclusive engagement of contractors in the UK
  • Supporting a client's multiple site redundancy programme
  • Advising on the reorganisation of a client's senior management team, including negotiating the departures for a number of departing directors and the service agreements with newly promoted employees
  • Advising an contentious senior exits
  • Coordinating global contract and handbook review projects

Litigation

  • Defending a range of Employment Tribunal claims on behalf of clients, from unfair dismissal to complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims
  • Advising clients in respect of past employees' post-employment competitive activity
