I advise UK-based and multi-national companies on all aspects of labour and employment law, with a particular focus on employment issues arising on corporate mergers and acquisitions and outsourcing transactions.
I also advise on international employment law, regularly co-ordinating large cross-border employment projects.
I work across a wide range of sectors, including in the technology, advertising, manufacturing, aviation and retail & hospitality sectors.
My recent work includes:
- advising on all employment aspects connected to the purchase of a property advisory business and the associated transfer of senior executives and other staff
- co-ordinating advice for a multi-national manufacturing organisation on a cross-border restructuring exercise involving redundancies in numerous countries across EMEA
- advising a US-based multi-national corporation on the employment and labour aspects of a number of corporate acquisitions in the technology sector
More generally, I have extensive experience of advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues, including senior executive recruitment and exits, collective redundancies, complex disciplinary and grievance procedures, changing terms and conditions, agency workers' rights and working time issues. I also have considerable experience of defending Employment Tribunal proceedings, regularly advising on claims of unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination, trade union detriment and whistleblowing.
