I work as a Managing Practice Development Lawyer for the Dispute Resolution team. My role helps to ensure that the team is up to date with all key legal and procedural developments.
I qualified with a city firm and then worked for a well-known media practice before spending two years working as an in-house lawyer for a publishing company before returning to private practice. I have gained significant dispute resolution experience in many areas and acted for clients from large corporations to individuals. My experience includes dealing with cases in the Court of Appeal, High and County Courts, the Magistrates Courts as well as ADR including Arbitration. I therefore bring practical knowledge as well as legal expertise to my role. My role as an in-house lawyer also enables me to consider issues from a commercial perspective.
As a Managing Practice Development Lawyer I also keep our ADR team up to date with the latest developments in Mediation and other ADR procedures. This includes reviewing and contributing to government proposals; advising on the latest case law and considering points of interest for our clients.
Dispute Resolution
With a wealth of experience in this area and having undertaken many trials and interlocutory hearings I advise the team on key changes in the law and the technical interpretation of court procedure. I have a particular interest in issues relating to jurisdiction and complex contractual claims which I regularly advise on. Additionally I regularly deal with issues relating to e-disclosure including providing advice as to using external vendors.
