I'm a consultant partner with the firm having joined as a green-behind-the-ear "articled clerk" in 1980, qualifying as an "assistant solicitor" in 1982 and having the honour to have been asked to join the partnership in 1986. My path then led to becoming head of the real estate department in 1988 a position I held for some 25 years (far too long!). Having served in senior positions for some forty years (including the firm's partnership remuneration committee) I decided to wind down slightly in 2018 to my current role assisting colleagues wherever I can. Having managed some major real estate and development transactions for some of the firm's largest clients over the years, someone once asked why I was never tempted to move on. My reply - it was either a serious error of judgment on my part or the firm is truly special! My longevity at the firm answers that question.
