I am a Managing Associate advising on all aspects of employment law.
My work is both advisory and contentious, covering contracts/policies, employee relations matters, restructures and redundancies, family rights and tribunal proceedings. I have particular experience of advising on employment law aspects of complex global outsourcings and acquisitions. I also regularly co-ordinate employment law advice across multiple jurisdictions for international projects.
I am fortunate to work with clients across a variety of sectors, such as media & entertainment, technology, pharmaceutical and retail.
I am frequently involved in TUPE and am a member of Lewis Silkin’s specialist TUPE group. My work in this area typically includes transactional assistance, such as due diligence and drafting/negotiating employment protections in purchase agreements; and advisory support relating to the information and consultation process (including collective consultation), harmonisation of terms and conditions and dismissals. I also provide training on the various subtleties of this area of law.
In addition, I am an active participant in Lewis Silkin’s specialist non-permanent workforce group and have extensive experience advising on apprentices, agency workers, part time and fixed term workers, interns and self-employed contractors.
Media & Entertainment
I work with several leading names in the media & entertainment sector and assist with their national and international employment law requirements. Most recently this has included advising a music body on the employment issues relating to a joint venture; advising a broadcast media company on a major restructure, including redundancy and TUPE implications; and defending a complex tribunal claim for sex discrimination and equal pay.
