I am a Managing Associate in the Digital, Commerce & Creative (DCC) team, with a particular focus on the media & entertainment, sport and technology sectors.

Media & Entertainment

I advise major publishers, podcast creators, agencies, talent, advertisers, game developers and digital platforms on a variety of legal matters that impact the media and entertainment sector. These include talent deals; brand partnerships; content licensing; media rights; advertising & marketing; video game development; broadcast and platform content regulation; and gambling regulation. I hold the BIIAB Level 2 Award For Licensing Practitioners (Gambling).

I am also one of the firm’s dedicated video games specialists. I have extensive experience advising on the regulation of virtual currencies and loot boxes, the applicability of UK gambling law to in-game mechanics, online safety, and Web 3.0 and block-chain based games (including the creation of NFTs, digital assets and cryptocurrency transactions). I also draft and negotiate the full spectrum of contracts relevant to the video games sector, such as game development and publishing agreements; data and IP licences; talent and image rights agreements; in-game sponsorship and media buying contracts; master revenue share and donation agreements; and bespoke terms of service.

Sport

I was selected as a Sport Industry Next Gen Leader 2022 (30 under 30). I advise clients in the sports industry on a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues, from both an advisory and contractual perspective. Key areas of expertise include sports sponsorship (having advised on a number of top-tier shirt, stadium and team sponsorship deals); broadcast and media deals; player image rights; merchandising; ticketing; fan tokens; ambush marketing; and the commercialisation of player data.

Commercial & Technology

I specialise in advising on emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI and Web 3.0 (such as NFTs, the Metaverse and blockchain). More generally, I regularly negotiate and draft a range of commercial contracts, including contracts in respect of IP licensing; SaaS and other software services; media buying; outsourcing; franchising & distribution; advertising and marketing; and creative services agreements.
