I am an Associate in Lewis Silkin’s Commercial and Brands & IP practice groups. I have a particular focus on the technology, media and entertainment, and sports business sectors.

I qualified as a solicitor at a City firm and joined Lewis Silkin in April 2018, after 18 months practising in Dubai. I graduated from King’s College London University with a degree in Law.

Commercial & Technology

I have advised on, negotiated and drafted a broad range of commercial contracts. These include contracts in respect of the supply goods and services; business process & IT outsourcing; brand partnerships; IP licensing; third party logistics; franchise & distribution; sponsorship; advertising and marketing; and creative services agreements.

I also have experience advising on a range of more specialist topics, such as data privacy (CIPP/E certified), e-commerce and consumer rights legislation; IoT and connected devices; and e-payment facilities.

Brands & Intellectual Property

I deal with commercial IP matters on a daily basis. I am experienced in advising clients on how to register and protect their valuable intellectual property assets; drafting and negotiating complex IP licensing arrangements; and helping clients navigate the relevant IP and marketing risks within a brand campaign.

I have coordinated a global brand protection programs for multi-national fashion clients, and regularly conducts trade mark and domain name due diligence on corporate transactions. I have been placed on two client secondments to date, both with a considerable IP focus.

Media & Entertainment

I focus on a variety of commercial issues that impact the media and entertainment sector. I have advised on the content and release of video games; social gaming, gambling and other applications (in the context of both mobile and virtual reality devices); music streaming services and collecting societies; as well as on-demand video and linear TV broadcasting.

Sports Business

I am a passionate sports fan (an avid football fan in particular), so I very much enjoy transferring that passion into my work here at Lewis Silkin. I advise clients in the sports industry on a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues, from both an advisory and contractual perspective.

My main experience in the sport sector lies in sponsorship, having advised on a number of big-ticket deals for domestic club and international football tournament sponsorship. I have also developed a keen interest in e-sports and how new digital content mediums have the potential to disrupt traditional sports broadcasting models.
