I am an employment lawyer and primarily advise employers across a range of sectors on a variety of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Employment

  • Advising in connection with day-to-day employee and organisational matters including senior exits, performance and absence management, grievances and disciplinary procedures, and discrimination issues
  • Assisting companies regarding individual and collective redundancy consultation exercises
  • Advising in respect of company reorganisations
  • Drafting employment contracts, director service agreements and consultancy agreements
  • Preparing employee-facing policies and staff handbooks
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements

Employment M&A, outsourcing & TUPE

  • Advising companies in a variety of sectors on the employment aspects of corporate transactions (both share sales/purchases and asset sales/purchases involving TUPE)
  • Carrying out due diligence exercises and preparing reports on the relevant findings
  • Drafting and negotiating warranties and indemnities in the transaction documents
  • Advising in connection with the employment law and TUPE aspects of outsourcing agreements

Employment tribunals

  • Acting for respondent employers in the Employment Tribunal including the defence of unfair dismissal, discrimination and equal pay claims
  • Advising on judicial mediation
