I am the Co-Head of Lewis Silkin's Digital, Commerce and Creative team.
I provide specialist advice on commercial contracts, technology, outsourcing, e-commerce and consumer law (including regulatory investigations) and data protection/privacy. I have over 20 years' experience in commercial, consumer and technology law and am acknowledged by Legal 500 as being a leading expert in the field of commercial contracts.
I am a member of our Brands & IP and Data Privacy practice groups. I advise clients in a wide range of sectors and have a particular focus on the retail, technology, leisure, logistics, financial services, manufacturing and professional services sectors.

I am the head of our Digital, Commerce & Creative practice group. I advise clients on a wide range of technology, commercial sourcing and data privacy issues, and have a special focus on tech, financial and retail sector. I have over 25 years’ experience, and have led many cutting edge and complex transactions, including the establishment of ‘faster payments’ and numerous multi-million pound sourcing projects including for tech/telco giants such as HP, BT and for retailers such as M&S. I have expertise in advising providers and customers involved in payments, outsourcing, logistics, cloud products (including GDPR compliance) fintech, retail tech and digital commerce, software development, systems integration, managed services & professional IT services. I am also IAAP CIPP/E data certified. I am acknowledged by the Legal Directories as being a leading expert in the field of commercial contracts and technology. My clients include platforms, tech vendors, high street retailers and financial institutions.
Data & Privacy
I have advised on data privacy for over 20 years and have a particular interest in technology and data privacy, including cloud computing.
I advise SMEs and large corporates on a wide range of privacy issues, ranging from audits, marketing strategies and international data transfers to strategies for processors and controllers to help them understand, plan for and address the operational and financial implications of the GDPR.

I have advised providers in the tech sector, or corporates who do business in the tech sector, for over 20 years, and have led many cutting edge and complex transactions, including the establishment of faster payments (the UK's same day payments system) and numerous multi-million pound ITO sourcing projects.
My clients include some of the world's most dynamic and innovative tech companies. I really enjoy working with providers of new or dynamic solutions to help them stay ahead of the game, in respect of market practice, regulation and risk management.
I have particular expertise in advising tech providers involved cloud storage, fintech, retail tech and digital commerce, software development, licensing, systems integration, managed services & professional IT services.
Retail, Hospitality and Leisure
I support several leading high street and online retailers on their day-to-day commercial, consumer and tech requirements. The work in which I often get involved ranges from negotiating agency, distribution, supply chain, franchising, sponsorship and BPO outsourcing arrangements to supporting CIOs on their SaaS, systems integration, technology outsourcings and other tech procurements.
I provide specialist advice to consumer-facing businesses on UK consumer law and data protection requirements (including on the Consumer Rights Act, Consumer Contract Regulations, Data Protection Act and GDPR). I also support clients on regulatory investigations by Trading Standards and the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA).
