About

I advise organisations and individuals on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. This includes advising HR professionals on day-to-day employee and organisational matters, acting on behalf of employers and individuals in respect of litigation, advising on Equality Act and discrimination issues, and assisting with company reorganisations and employment aspects of corporate transactions including contract and policy drafting.

My practice is wide-ranging across a range of different sectors and my expertise includes advising individuals on complex Employment Tribunal matters involving discrimination and unfair dismissal.

Experience

International employment law

  • I assist our clients with a range of queries which may involve an international element including, for instance, providing advice to non-UK clients on how to comply with UK employment law or assisting with company reorganisations involving international employees / locations. I previously worked for the firm as a paralegal and during this time I assisted fee earners with the management of several large-scale international projects, which often included coordinating with other lawyers within the Ius Laboris network. These skills and connections have remained highly relevant to my practice as a qualified lawyer

Individuals

  • My previous experience has involved advising individuals on Employment Tribunal claims for discrimination Many these cases included elements of disability discrimination, however I have also advised individual clients on race, sex and pregnancy/maternity discrimination issues along with issues relating to the other protected characteristics I regularly advise individual clients on the negotiation of settlement agreements with their employers
