I am a tax specialist within the firm’s Tax, Reward & Incentives group.
I advise clients from all sectors on a wide range of direct and indirect UK tax issues with a particular interest in corporate transactions, real estate and trade and customs. I place a strong emphasis on providing clear and concise advice to clients while also noting their specific commercial concerns.
As part of my practice I advise clients on a variety of corporate transactions. This includes both UK and cross-border share sales and acquisitions and also business sales and acquisitions. Tied to this, I also have experience with corporate finance transactions and also with corporate reorganisations.
I regularly advise clients on the tax aspects of real estate transactions. Types of transaction that I have advised (and negotiated) on include sales and acquisitions, sale and leasebacks, leases, agreements for lease and licenses to alter.
I have experience in advising on a range of employment tax queries, in particular on UK and cross-border employment questions, termination agreements and on the IR35 and the off-payroll working rules.
I also assist clients with UK trade and customs issues and questions that they have. This includes both advice on the origin, classification and valuation of goods and also on compliance questions concerning the UK requirements to be met in respect of the flow of goods into and out of the UK. I also assist clients with submitting duty repayment applications to HMRC and also with enquiries and decisions they may have received from HMRC in respect of their imports.
