I am an Associate in the firm's Employment team, based in Leeds.
I advise and support on contentious and non-contentious employment matters for commercial employers, varying from SMEs to large household name corporates, across a variety of sectors including retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and engineering.
My key experience and responsibilities include:
- Advising on day-to-day HR issues such as poor performance, disciplinaries, grievances and redundancy exercises;
- Assisting employers in defending Employment Tribunal claims, including claims of unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing;
- Conducting settlement negotiations and drafting and advising on settlement agreements;
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising on HR policies and procedures and contracts of employment; and
- Assisting with independent workplace investigations including grievances and bullying and harassment allegations.
Alongside my practice, I have a keen interest in social mobility and I am a member of the firm’s Social Mobility group.
