As an experienced commercial solicitor, I have a real passion for helping businesses thrive and prosper. I enjoy working with my clients to truly understand their business, so they may enjoy maximum value from my services.

I have a broad range of experience in the legal world, having previously run my own boutique commercial law practice, which I later merged with a larger, full-service firm in Worcestershire, whereupon I became Equity Partner and Head of Commercial. I have also worked as an in-house lawyer advising on commercial contracts at a FTSE 250 international consultancy group, and at a FTSE 100 multi-national utility giant in a contract strategy role.

I advise across a wide portfolio of industries, including professional services, IT & technology, recruitment, property, events, media and manufacturing.

Experience

Commercial

  • Providing day-to-day legal advice to large businesses across a wide variety of commercial law matters from the routine to the more complex enquiries
  • Preparing red-flag reviews, contract mark-ups, responding to ad hoc legal queries and drafting bespoke documentation

Business growth support

  • Advising startups regarding the legal aspects of business set-up, including drafting terms and conditions of business and website terms etc, reviewing supplier contracts, together with providing general business legal advice
  • Supporting SMEs and scale-ups to help achieve full growth and development potential by assisting with various contractual governance and compliance issues

Contract drafting

  • Drafting and advising upon a full range of business contracts, including services agreements, NDAs, sales agency agreements, franchise agreements, software licenses and consultancy agreements etc
  • Maintaining a commercial approach to contract drafting and negotiation, keeping the client's objectives at the heart of what I do
