I have worked with innovative businesses worldwide for over 25 years, helping them to protect and use their intellectual property. Having run my own business with an international client base before joining Lewis Silkin, I have a drive to provide a first class service to all our clients and love the international element to our work.
As well as handling day-to-day prosecution before the EPO and the UKIPO, I enjoy contentious work, including oppositions & appeals at the EPO and litigation in the national courts. I also undertake due diligence and provide strategy advice to clients.
My technical areas of work cover a wide variety of electrical and mechanical subject matter including: pumps and compressors; engines and motors; medical devices; consumer electronics and devices; mobile device technology; display devices and touch screens; sensing devices; music synthesisers; electrical circuit design; software; signal, data and image processing and encoding; semiconductors; solid state memories and disk drives; and printers and consumables.
I have lectured extensively in the UK, Europe and Japan, covering various aspects of UK and European IP law.
