In Ireland, a new law aimed at giving employees the right to request remote work is to be included in the work life balance bill which is expected to be delivered by the end of the year.

Following the announcement, the Tánaiste indicated that the draft legislation will not guarantee a right to remote working but will provide a legal right to request same and the ability to appeal a refusal of remote working to the Workplace Relations Commission.
