BELFAST – Commercial law firm Lewis Silkin LLP is to combine its two existing premises in Belfast into a new, and significantly enhanced, office in Linenhall Street. The firm will be based at its new address (32-38 Linenhall Street) from Monday 15 August, replacing the firm’s offices on Lombard Street and Ormeau Road.
Centrally located in an area of Belfast known for its rich Georgian and Victorian historical and architectural heritage, the new light-filled office comprises some 5,300 square feet of newly refitted space, including state-of-the-art, purpose-built client meeting facilities. Lewis Silkin operates a hybrid working model for team members, and the new office offers a range of working areas and environments to enhance the employee experience. The move also sets up the firm for further expansion in the future, in line with evolving client requirements.
Lewis Silkin began operating in Belfast in 2021 when it joined forces with local employment law specialist Jones Cassidy Brett. The firm later combined with media, tech and IP practice Forde Campbell in January 2022, increasing the firm’s Belfast-based team to a total of seven partners and 28 legal professionals and staff.
Ciara Fulton, Partner and head of the Belfast office at Lewis Silkin, commented:
“It’s been just 12 months since Lewis Silkin began operating in Northern Ireland, and the past year has been a tremendously exciting time for us. Our team has grown significantly in this short space of time, and our move to a new office is a natural next step to accommodate both this rapid expansion and the greater range of services we now offer. Bringing together our team under a single roof, we are now better positioned than ever to help businesses across Northern Ireland navigate issues related to employment law, business immigration, commercial, IP and data, technology, and media law.”
The launch of Lewis Silkin Northern Ireland followed the opening of its Dublin office in 2018. Taken together the firm’s presence provides clients right across the island of Ireland, and beyond, with seamless access to best-in-class advice regarding their most critical business assets – their people and ideas.
