19 December 2018
Lewis Silkin has advised its longstanding client RVYL, formerly known as The Marketing Group, on its acquisition of Blockchain Nordic Ltd.
Blockchain Nordic is a digital asset investment firm which provides a wide range of investment solutions for dealing in digital assets, such as index investments, tailored portfolios and Blockchain Nordic’s own exchange providing access to numerous cryptocurrencies and currency pairs.
This acquisition will enable RYVL, which already boasts a strong portfolio of consumer technology clients, to deepen its specialisation by providing services to fast growth companies that embrace blockchain and other progressive technologies. This follows Ryvl’s successful launch of the world’s first blockchain-enabled programmatic media campaign in March.
The Lewis Silkin team was led by Corporate Finance partner David Willbe, bringing together the firm’s expertise in acquisitions and transactions for listed businesses with our sector focus in technology that takes in companies specialising in blockchain and other emerging technologies.
Commenting on the deal, Adam Graham, CEO of Ryvl said:
“The Lewis Silkin team were once again fantastic at helping navigate us through this acquisition. David Willbe’s knowledge of blockchain made him an invaluable partner throughout this deal, which will help Ryvl make a fundamental shift in strategy within the blockchain space.
