FilmChain is a London-based fintech which uses financial technology and blockchain to transparently and efficiently manage end-to-end transactions in the creative industries. Co-founded by Maria Tanjala and Irina Albita, the company has introduced a payment platform to provide immediate access to entitlements, financial reports and analytics which address challenges arising from delayed settlements and opaque financial processes and which are prevalent in the entertainment industries.
This financial milestone was achieved through a round led by Holt IntersXion fund, with support from DeBa Ventures and others. The investment signals a robust vote of confidence in FilmChain as it looks to expand its operations in North America.
Lewis Silkin has advised FilmChain on its corporate matters throughout its growth.
The Lewis Silkin team was led by Corporate Partner, David Willbe with support from Senior Associate, Peter Bates.
