Lewis Silkin expands litigation offering in Hong Kong

HONG KONG – Lewis Silkin today announces the appointment of Jezamine Fewins as a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong office to further enhance the firm’s capabilities in the Asian market, particularly in respect of litigation and dispute resolution.

An experienced litigator, Jezamine’s practice focuses on both employment and intellectual property matters. She is highly rated by Chambers and Legal 500 across both areas and described as ‘definitely the counsel you would like in your corner’. She has acted for local companies and multi-nationals with operations in Hong Kong on various high-profile cases litigated in the jurisdiction. She has also assisted clients in the enforcement of their arbitration awards in Hong Kong in ground breaking cases and regularly represents clients in complex commercial disputes litigated through the courts.

Jezamine is renowned for her work on High Court employment law matters such as team moves, the enforcement of restrictive covenants and the misuse of confidential information. She also advises on other employment disputes (including discrimination and whistleblowing), as well as immigration, and is experienced in conducting investigations in respect of sensitive issues.

Additionally, Jezamine is skilled in the enforcement of matters relating to intellectual property, including the obtaining of prohibitive and Mareva injunctions, restraining cross-border infringement activities, and freezing accounts where the sales proceeds of counterfeit goods have been remitted.

Her arrival comes at a period of significant growth for Lewis Silkin’s Hong Kong office, as the office has also hired two associates, Joanne Chan and Carly Fan, and paralegal/PA Bowie Chong, to join around the same time.
