Lewis Silkin advises Publicis Groupe on acquisition of Bartle Bogle Hegarty

05 July 2012

Lewis Silkin advises Publicis Groupe on acquisition of Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH), one of world’s most famous advertising agencies.

Lewis Silkin has advised Publicis Groupe, one of the largest communications groups in the world, on its acquisition of the remaining 51% of the Bartle Bogle Hegarty (BBH) network held by its founders and their partners.

This deal involved two separate transactions, one in which Publicis Groupe acquired full ownership of BBH, in which it has held a minority stake for the last 10 years. The other transaction involved the acquisition of 66% of the shares of NEOGAMA/BBH in Brazil, one of the most creative and innovative Brazilian agencies and one in which BBH held 34% of the shares.

For this transaction, the Lewis Silkin team was led by Corporate partner Paul Rajput and he was supported by Corporate Tax partner Sharon Brennan and Corporate associates Helen Ewing and Stephen O’Mahony.  Paul says “Lewis Silkin has a long-standing relationship with Publicis Groupe.  We are pleased to have advised our client on the successful conclusion of this transaction and look forward to continuing to advise them on their future UK acquisitions”.
