Lewis Silkin has advised Proman Group, the fifth largest recruitment agency in France, on its acquisition of supply chain specialists HEADS Recruitment Limited and HEADS Engineering Limited.
The acquisitions embody the company’s commitment to international development which has already seen the opening of offices in Switzerland and, earlier this year, in London. Proman which was founded in 1990, has always been owned by the Gomez family and currently has 250 offices across France and a turnover in excess of 970,000,000€. Proman aims to achieve 30% of its turnover from its international offices in the near future. The turnover of the Heads group - which is also a family group, owned by the Gorton family, is around 100,000,000€.
For the transaction, the cross-departmental Lewis Silkin team was led by corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham and corporate associate Susie Jarrold. The team worked closely with Proman’s French Legal Counsel, Patrick Dupire and Isabelle Grimaud of Cabinet Dupire and with Proman‘s internal teams.
The deal adds to the growing number of transactions completed by Lewis Silkin’s dedicated French desk so far this year.
Roland Gomez, Managing Director of Proman Group says:
"I wish to thank the Lewis Silkin team for their commitment to getting the job done and completing the transactions in due time. It proved invaluable for us to have the French Desk team’s assistance in navigating through the legal, technical and cultural aspects of UK transactions for these acquisitions which follow our recent entry into the UK as part of Proman Group’s growth strategy in Europe".
