Lewis Silkin’s M&A team has advised French Group Descours & Cabaud, the leading distributor of MRO and PPE products in Europe, on its acquisition of the remaining 50% of Hayley Group.

Lewis Silkin’s team advised Descours & Cabaud in 2016 in respect of the acquisition of 50% of Hayley Group (see here for previous deal announcement), and were on call again to assist with the purchase of the remaining 50% stake.

The transaction marks the third successful deal completed by Lewis Silkin for Descours & Cabaud in the past 12 months. The cross-departmental Lewis Silkin team was led by corporate partner Paul Rajput and supported by employment partner Richard Moore, andcorporate associate Georgina Fraser.

Paul Rajput said:

“We are delighted to have supported Descours & Cabaud on this further investment in the UK, which highlights the strategic importance of UK expansion for the business. The deal illustrates the strengths and unique expertise of Lewis Silkin’s M&A team for and we look forward to working with Descours & Cabaud again soon.”

Bernard Van Der Elst, Group General Counsel of Descours & Cabaud said:

“We naturally turned to Lewis Silkin’s experienced and highly service-orientated M&A team on this further investment in Hayley Group, having worked with them on various Hayley Group related matters since the original investment in 2016.  We were very pleased to have worked with Paul Rajput and the Lewis Silkin team and no doubt will turn to them again on future acquisitions in the UK”.
