After a two-year-long global pandemic, most of us will now consider ourselves expert – or at least proficient – in using remote working tools, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. These tools have been invaluable to communicate with colleagues around the globe, but they may soon be rendered obsolete by Big Tech.
“The metaverse is inevitably going to affect how employees interact with one another, their employer, and with customers. Employment law is struggling to keep up with today’s technological developments, never mind tomorrow’s,” James Davies, a founder partner of Lewis Silkin’s employment practice, told IEL.
