Austin Newport has worked on more than 1,000 complex heritage building projects in the last 30 years, ranging in value from £250,000 to £20 million. It was recently appointed to work on extensive projects at St. Bart’s Hospital, Blenheim Palace and the Houses of Parliament.

Lewis Silkin’s cross departmental M&A team was led by corporate partner Paul Rajput, with assistance from corporate tax partner Matthew Rowbotham, construction partner Clare Reddy, corporate senior associate Francesca Cunningham and corporate associate Jack Baldwin.

Corporate partner, Paul Rajput said: “It was great working with Regis at Artelia headquarters in France and the team at Artelia UK on this acquisition, the first deal in which our leading M&A team has been involved with Artelia. We’re looking forward to working together again on their next transaction”.

Regis Peltier, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions said: “Paul and the team were great partners on this acquisition, which will enable Artelia UK to reinforce their positioning with a full range of professional services in the historic sector and complement their geographical footprint with Austin Newport’s Birmingham offices.
