Join us for an employer-focused roundup of employment policy developments under the new government, where we will delve into their election manifesto promises and the policies confirmed since taking office. We will also review recent and upcoming changes in employment law and practice.

Labour’s direction on employment rights has been clear since it published its New Deal for Working People. While Day 1 employment rights and the removal of unfair dismissal qualifying periods have garnered the headlines, there are also significant measures such as rights of access for trade unions, a new single status of worker, the establishment of a labour market enforcement authority, the expansion of pay gap reporting, and initiatives to provide workers with greater security over their hours and shifts – and the list goes on.
